AWS Class ERNiCr-3 SAW wire, combined with suitable flux, is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for corrosion-resistant and high-temperature applications. Typical composition includes Ni 67%, Cr 20–23%, Fe ≤3%, Mn ≤2.5%, Cu ≤0.5%, Si ≤0.5%, and C ≤0.1%. It offers excellent resistance to oxidation and stress-corrosion cracking in harsh environments. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 550–690 MPa, yield strength of ~240 MPa, and elongation of 30–35%. This combination ensures strong, ductile, and reliable welds in chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries.
