What is AWS Class RBCuZn-C MIG & TIG?

AWS Class RBCuZn-C MIG & TIG filler metal is a copper-zinc alloy containing approximately Cu 57–61%, Zn balance, with small additions of Sn ≤ 1%, Mn ≤ 0.5%, Si ≤ 0.15%, and Fe ≤ 0.2%. It offers excellent ductility, strength, and corrosion resistance. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 380–450 MPa, elongation of 25–35%, and a melting range of 880–890°C. Ideal for brazing steels, cast irons, and copper alloys, it provides smooth flow, strong joints, and minimal fuming during MIG and TIG welding processes.
