The **HAYNES® 230-W®** welding wire consists of about **57% nickel, 22% chromium, 14% tungsten, and 2% molybdenum**, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and lanthanum to enhance oxidation resistance and grain stability. This alloy boasts remarkable strength and can withstand oxidation at temperatures up to **1150°C (2100°F)**. It features a **tensile strength of 850–950 MPa**, a **yield strength of around 450 MPa**, and an **elongation of 40%**. The “W” grade offers better weldability and crack resistance compared to the standard 230 alloy, ensuring excellent toughness and structural integrity in high-temperature, oxidizing, and nitriding environments.
