What is HASTELLOY® C-2000 Welding Wire?
The HASTELLOY® C-2000 Welding Wire primarily consists of nickel (about 59%), chromium (23%), molybdenum (16%), and copper (1.6%), along with trace amounts of iron and cobalt. The inclusion of copper boosts its resistance to sulfuric acid, while chromium enhances its oxidation resistance. This alloy boasts a tensile strength of approximately 760 MPa, along with excellent ductility and formability. It maintains its structural integrity even at high temperatures and effectively resists stress corrosion cracking and carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring long-lasting performance in harsh chemical environments.
