What is AWS Class ER2594 MIG and TIG Filler Metal ?
AWS Class ER2594 MIG and TIG filler rods and welding wires are a high-alloy stainless steel consumables to be used in welding austenitic stainless steels. They are normally made of around 25 per cent Cr, 20 per cent Ni, 4 per cent Mo, 0.5 per cent Nb, 0.03 per cent C which offers them a great pitting, crevice corrosion and high temperature oxidation resistance. The mechanical properties have tensile strength of approximately 750-800 Mpa, yield strength of 450-500 Mpa, and elongation of 25-30% which means that it has strong and long lasting welds. ER2594 is suited in applications that have a high level of requirements on corrosive resistance, heat resistance and strength in harsh conditions.
